WHAT IS EFT TAPPING?
At the retreat, Sophie Leung guided us through something called EFT, or tapping — and it turned out to be such a simple yet powerful tool. It’s basically a mix of gentle acupressure and mindfulness. You tap on specific points on your face and body while focusing on something that’s been stressing you out or holding you back. It helps calm your nervous system, ease anxiety, and release stuck emotions.
EFT, or Emotional Freedom Technique, is an alternative approach that blends elements of exposure therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and somatic stimulation. It focuses on two things: what you’re saying or thinking, and where you’re tapping. Many people believe that this gentle tapping helps restore balance in the body’s energy system — supporting both emotional and physical healing.
