A Grounding Start to Our Feel Grateful Retreat
We opened our Feel Grateful Retreat with Mike Holland’s Mind • Body • Energy Movement — a grounding and energising sequence designed to regulate the nervous system, settle the mind, and set the tone for a day centred on presence and gratitude.
Mike’s approach blends somatic movement, breathwork, and energy alignment to help the body release tension and arrive fully in the moment. Through slow, intentional motions and mindful breathing, he guided everyone into a deeper state of awareness — a shift you could feel across the room.
For the past few months, this has become the go-to warm-up in all my PT sessions and group classes.
It’s genuinely transformed the way I begin every workout.
This practice supports:
Nervous system regulation
Improved circulation and energy flow
A calmer, quieter mind
A deeper connection to the body
It was the perfect way to soften into the day, especially for women juggling busy lives and responsibilities. You could literally feel shoulders drop, breaths deepen, and the whole room settle into presence.
By the end of the session, the space felt lighter — warm energy, clearer minds, and a softness that carried beautifully through the rest of the workshops.
