Meet Simon Wong
We are thrilled to welcome Simon Wong to our Feel Balanced Retreat on 24 May!
Simon is a highly respected Taiji and Qigong practitioner who has been based in Singapore for the past 20 years. Born in Britain with Hong Kong roots, Simon's journey into movement and energy work began at the age of 12, inspired by his grandfather — a Taiji practitioner who lived a long and healthy life well into his nineties.
But Simon’s story isn’t just one of tradition — it’s one of remarkable resilience.
In 2004, a severe spinal injury from years of high-impact martial arts left him unable to walk properly. Told by doctors that surgery would be his only hope — at the cost of mobility — Simon chose another path. Through deep dedication to Taiji, Qigong, and a gentle, mindful movement practice, Simon defied the odds.
He not only healed himself but returned stronger than ever, inspiring those around him to believe in the body’s incredible ability to recover and thrive.
Simon went on to pioneer the Tienji Awareness Method — a unique self-healing system blending principles from Taiji, Qigong, meditation, Feldenkrais, and physical therapy. His method focuses on moving with awareness to unlock the body’s natural ability to heal, not just physically but emotionally and mentally too.
Over the years, Simon has worked with global companies like Barclays, Jones Lang LaSalle, The Royal Bank of Scotland, and Singapore National Eye Centre, helping countless individuals reconnect with their bodies, restore balance, and cultivate inner peace.
What to Expect at the Feel Balanced Retreat
At the Feel Balanced Retreat, Simon will be leading a Taiji and Qigong workshop, guiding you through practices that focus on:
